Meeting

autour de Brion Gysin

par Gérard Audinet

| 19:00

On the occasion of the exhibition Brion Gysin: Dream Machine at the Institut d’art contemporain within the framework of its 'Laboratoire espace cerveau', the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, which holds part of Brion Gysin's works, is organising a meeting with Gérard Audinet on the artist's position in the history of art in the twentieth century. Thus, as a complement to the reflection at the Institute via the Laboratory and centred on the Dreamachine and perceptual phenomena, the aim is to broaden the approach to the artist in his historical dimension and highlight the experimental and poetic nature of his work.

An art historian, Gérard Audinet was a heritage curator at the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris from 1991 to 2010. He has been the director of La Maison de Victor Hugo, Paris, since September 2010.
