Often ephemeral, like his raw clay sculptures left out in torrential rain or the running water of a river, the fragility of Ludvig Sahakyan's works creates the vocabulary of a truly visual poetry. Using diverse materials (sugar, flour, clay, wood ...) and various different actions (from embroidery to performance) Sahakyan succeeds in making the depth of a creative moment blend into one of memory. His works thus seem to be infused with time, as indeed he describes himself to be infused with an art whose source is the culture of his native Armenia.
