Launched in 2007, the Galeries Nomades programme allows,
on a biennial basis, five artists from the five art schools of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (Annecy, Clermont-Ferrand, Grenoble /Valence, Lyon, Saint-Etienne) to benefit from the accompaniment of the IAC, for the production and the organization of a first personal exhibition, in co-production with five regional structures of creation and diffusion for contemporary art.

Each exhibition is preceded by a residency at Moly-Sabata/Albert Gleizes Foundation in Sablons (Isère) and followed by a publication in partnership with Adéra, the network of art schools in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.

At the end of this process, one of Galeries Nomades’ artists receives a prize, the Prix des Amis/Jeune création-Galeries Nomades award and his work integrates the IAC collection.
